Costumes at upcoming wow items San Jose Big Wow Comic Fest and San Mateo Maker Faire

Coming up on May 19 and 20 are two different events of interest to buy wow gear Bay Area costumers. Big Wow in San Jose is a comic book and media convention that Cosplayers will definitely enjoy. Maker Faire in San Mateo is a festival for do-it-yourself enthusiasts with costuming opportunities for those interested in retro-futurism and counterculture.

Big Wow is a convention that focuses not only on comic books but anime/manga, art, science fiction, fantasy, gaming and Cosplay. Special guests include comic book artists (including those who have worked on the Avengers, the X-Men, Batman and Superman) and media guests (such as actors and singers). Cosplay by attendees is encouraged. You can come as your favorite hero or villain or any character from the fantasy, science fiction, horror or anime genres. The faire makes science and art fun and fosters invention, creativity, passion and resourcefulness. Costumers can participate in the costume activities and wear costumes. There is the Swap-O-Rama-Rama where you can create outfits from second-hand items. Next to it is the Bazaar Bizarre where you can buy clothes and accessories. there is a recycled fashion show by Camp Couture. Patrons can also come in any costume style including Steampunk, Burning Man and Belly Dance.
